I like my lemonade sweet

I was chatting with a friend last night about her colleague who recently got married. The wedding wasn't planned well, given that the bride and groom only had three weeks notice to go ahead with it. The brief story was that the groom's grandmother passed away and according to his family's *somewhat weird*tradition, he has to get hitched within the 100 days after the passing or risk having to wait for another three years. So from getting the wedding photos taken, booking the restaurant, renting the gowns, printing the invitation cards and all other necessary arrangements, all were done within a mind boggling period of 21 days. Crazy huh .. and to top it off, the couple were both working throughout the entire planning period.

In the end, they managed to pull it off amid certain hiccups here and there but my point is that getting married is a huge milestone in a person's life. Shouldn't it be carried out in a more delicate manner instead of just 'bulldozing' through. These should be experiences to last a lifetime but if done inappropriately, one could easily end up with screwed up memories that'll haunt you for eternity. To me, the planning stages of the wedding is an experience all on its own, something to share with family and friends but I guess this couple will run short on that.

You don't always get what you want in life ... if life give you lemons, you make lemonade right? WRONG!!! I say dump the lemons and go indulge yourself with a sinful venti caramel frapp. It'll do you good.
