It’s so difficult to be away
To ease the pain, I would solemnly pray
How long oh how long
Till together again we hear our song
Being apart we know for what reason
And yet, there are times I wish it was different
To be with you every minute of every day
Instead of only 2 weeks in the month of May
I take comfort in knowing and believing
That this separation will soon come to an ending
That we may be as man and wife proper
From then on till ... well, forever
