Fatigue and Exhausted

Been subjected to severe fatigue and exhausion lately. I guess I've only got myself to blame. Workload have increased substantially. Had to work overtime quite frequently as well but I guess the extra money does come in handy.

In addition, ever since I passed the Les Mill's Body Combat Instructor training program, I've been busy shadowing or team teaching with other seasoned instructors. Heck, been dragging my tired butt to the gym 7 days a week. And now, my body is beginning to pay the price for this crazy new routine I developed. My legs are aching, knees are constantly feeling weak. Thankfully another fellow instructor recommended that I start taking Glucosamine for improving joint muscles like the elbows and the knees. Hopefully it'll work.

On a lighter note, new developments are beginning to surface pertaining to my social life. I've made new friends and gotten closer to ol' friends. I suppose it's easier when I began to open up to more people instead of being reclusive. Good training as an instructor too since this will help me connect better with the members. The downside to all this is the amount of time I spend at home or rather with my family decreases. Although I still live with my family, there are times whereby I do not see my parents for days ... simply because I leave the house for work before the wake up and I only return after they've gone to bed.

Ok, I suppose that's all for now. Have to get back to work and then hit the gym later. Toodles.

Love bite

The clock tells me that it was 11:47pm. I watched as he slept ever so soundly, his body rising and lowering as he breathes into the silence of the night. I approached closer and he was suddenly jolted awake. He stared at me, never blinking. As I got closer to his cage, my bunny stood on his hind legs, greeting me with such enthusiasm. I unhook the cage’s door and he bolted out with blinding speed. He ran around the sofa, sniffed the curtains and then came back and perched himself on my lap. I stroked his back and tickled his fluffy chin. I could tell he enjoyed it immensely.

A sound came from the kitchen. Bunny looked up and before I knew it, off he went to check out the commotion. For the fun of it, I chased after him. He noticed my pursuit and came to an immediate halt. He spread himself wide on the cold tiled floor, it reminded me of a sheepskin rug I once had.

I bent down to pick him up. It’s been a while since I cuddled that li’ll fella. That was when he struck. Out of the blue, he lunged up and with the only two strong teeth that he has, he sank them into my wrist, tearing through my skin and revealed a trickle of crimson liquid. Reflects kicked in and I pulled away, dripping a couple of blood drops on the floor.

He continued starring at me, as if daring me to make my next move. The pain I felt slowly but surely transformed into anger. I held his head down and struck him on the back with my bare hands. Whack whack whack. Three smacks before I carried him by the ears and hauling him back to his cage. I washed myself and turned off the lights. He’s go the whole night to reflect on his wrong doings. That’ll teach him to bite the hand that feeds him. Sometimes you just got to let them know who the master is.

Purity

The sky opened and it's pouring now. From inside my office, the sound of muffled thunders offer a strange sense of reassurance, one I usually associate with whenever I'm tucked in comfortably under my duvet as I drift off to peaceful slumber.

Funny how the rain which could cause massive traffic congestions and catastrophic floods can also envelope me with a sense of calm and serenity. Sometimes, I observe as the raindrops hit a surface, splitting itself from one drop into a thousand little ones. Examining it closely and every drop is random but looking it from afar potrays a synchronizing pattern of never ending motions. Imagine the rain hitting a pool of water, before one ripple can die off completely, another emerges nearby. The collision between two ripples will be joined by a third and a fourth and so on. A chain reaction which will eventually link every raindrop together or at least that's how I would've like to think about it.

Have you ever stood still as you let the rain wash over you. Try it. Focus your receptors on a particular spot on your body and enjoy that feeling. For me, it's therapeutic. Cliche as it may sound, but it's good to let the rain wash away unwanted feelings bottled up inside of you. Just breathe calmly and let each drop take away a moment of sadness or loneliness in your life. Lie down and face the heavens. Let the tears of the angels cleanse your soul. Maybe it's God's way of purifying the dense bitter harshness of life. So excuse me while I go listen to the sound of raindrops tapping on a window now.

Fried rice galore

I went to a nearby coffeeshop last night after gym and took away a packet of fried rice. It was pretty good and the fact that I was starving at that time only adds to the gastranomic pleasure. Anyway, it was raining heavily today when my colleagues and I went out to lunch. Since I drove, I dropped them off at the restaurant before proceeding to find a car park. When I sat down, I was told they already ordered my lunch for me. It was fried rice. I'm not complaining, lunch today was good. In fact I wouldn't mind having more. Now I'm wondering should I have fried rice continuously for my subsequent meals till I start barfing? It's gonna be a pretty interesting challenge no?

I see you

Last week, out of curiosity, I popped into an optical shop after a workout session in gym to have my eyes examined. I wanted to know if my power had increase over the years. The last time I had them checked was approximately 2 years ago. Anyway, the result came back shocking. My right eye went up by 0.75 while the left shot up by 1.00. So on the advise of the optician, I decided to get a new pair of glasses since prolong usage of my current pair would only serve to further increase my power.

My current spectacle’s frame is already 4 years old. Hence, it’s only fair that I purchase a new one. I finally decided to get one of em’ plastic ones. It’s full rimmed and apparently one of the latest models from the 2 Inch brand. I think it’s the one with Jordan Chan as their brand ambassador. It’s mostly black with stripes of orange at the sides. The lens however, was purchased from another optical establishment since the one where I got the frame was going to charge me by an additional RM400. So in total, I forked out RM120 for the frame and RM430 for the lens. The lens, made in Japan mind you, comes with multicoat, UV protection, EMI etc. Also, because it’s of the super high index type, it now looks very thin. Yea bebeh!!!

Anyway, I collected my spanking new spectacles last night and I think it made me look a tad bit smarter. My vision’s 824665639948578 times clearer too. I’d like to think that I now seem rather fashionable and I received positive feedbacks from the ones who had seen me. Would love to post a pic up but lately, Blogger have prevented me from posing any photos whatsoever. I have no idea why. So until I have the opportunity to show you how I look, just take my word for it, I look great. Hahaha.

Five things I'd like to do ... and then some

I would like to :

· Lay lazily on a hammock by the beach, snoozing to the sound of the lapping waves, to feel the gentle sea breeze on my face and a massage would be heavenly. Ooo yes, and I’d like a body massage too.
· Eat, eat and eat without putting on weight ... ever!!!
· Chill and chat the night away with good company in a nice li'll cosy cafĂ©
· Read a good book in my bedroom with soft chilled out serenading music in the background
· Sing like an idiot in a karaoke joint with close friends
· Travel. Five to six holidays a year would be nice
· Watch sappy movies alone
· Workout at the gym till every single muscle goes numb
· Driving past the 250km/h mark (but safely of course)
· Blast the music while driving fast
· Shop for stuff i.e. clothes, gadgets etc. without having to worry over the moolah
· Dim the lights in my bedroom, put on some really soothing music, just relax and let the mind drift away aimlessly
· Sleep in during the weekends (I need this)
· Catch up with ol’ friends, especially those I hadn’t meet in ages
· Tell off a couple of jerks what I really think about them (Isn't honesty the best policy???)
· Turn back time and undo all of my mistakes
· Appreciate those around me more
· Strike the lottery and never having to worry about money … ever!!!
· Be better looking. Ha :p
· Be a travel tv host
· Be a food tv host
· Just be on tv (for the right reasons)
· Tell someone I love her. (certain things are complicated … don’t ask)
· Have friends like the ones in Friends, the tv series
· Cook really well
· Make all of the above come true

I'm lovin' it

I tried my new Nike Tuhon SL last night at the gym (refer to previous post). It was at a Body Combat class and it was fantastic. It’s incredibly lightweight, grips the floor well and looks really great. Suprisingly, the lack of heel support does nothing to compromise the comfort level. It gives the feeling that I was working out bare foot. Apparently, this way you'll get to work out more on the lower leg area, namely the calves and the hamstrings. So no regrets on this purchase of mine.

*sheepish grin* Gained a few compliments from a couple of fellow gym members too ... so I'm happy happy happy. If you’re into Body Combat or any martial art discipline for that matter, the Tuhon SL is for you. I’ve heard that Nike Free is good for such activities too but I’ve yet to try it out, hence no comments at the moment. Can’t wait for the next Combat class now.
